About Decatur Tree Removal Pros

Decatur Tree Removal Pros is a tree service in Decatur, AL with 20+ years of removals, pruning, stump grinding, storm work and land clearing behind it. Most of that work has been within an hour of this valley, which is long enough to have learned that the same species behaves differently on three kinds of ground within a short drive of each other.

That ground is the Wheeler Lake bottomland at the river, the Highland Rim uplands behind it, and the plateau country south toward Brindley Mountain. A crew that has worked all three prices the difference between them instead of finding it halfway through a job with a machine already on the trailer.

Our Approach

Everything we have learned ends up in how the estimate is written. The takedown, the stump and the debris are three separate priced lines, because those are the three things competing quotes disagree about and the three most often quietly missing from a low number. Haul-away is stated in words — included, or not included — so a cheap quote and an expensive one can be compared honestly rather than by guessing. The firewood credit, where there is one, is a line item rather than a favor, and it is worth least on a Decatur job where the county gate takes yard debris cheaply and most on a job whose county makes wood expensive to be rid of.

Access gets measured before the tree is priced: gate width, drop zone, carry distance to the truck, and where a chipper that will never fit through any gate is actually going to sit. Crane and tracked-lift work is quoted on the machine that will genuinely fit rather than the one in the brochure. Storm and hazard calls are answered the same day, with the plain limits an industry safety standard puts on working near energized conductors in wind, ice and thunderstorms — including the times that means securing a site at night and finishing at first light.

The wire between the pole and the house gets a straight answer, because this ring gives three different ones and knowing which you are under decides who you call first. Lakefront work is planned around the federal approval a Wheeler Lake bank needs before a saw starts, and each city’s own curbside limits and contractor-debris rules are explained on the estimate rather than discovered on collection day.

What We Do

We handle tree removal and emergency storm work, crane-assisted removals, tree trimming and pruning, stump grinding and stump removal, land clearing and forestry mulching, shrub, hedge and brush removal, tree planting and transplanting, tree disease diagnosis and plant health care, written arborist reports and tree risk assessments, and the permit, right-of-way and property-line questions that come with all of it. Estimates are free and written, and the written part is the point. Tell us what the tree is doing and we will tell you what it needs, what it costs, and what happens to the wood.
